I'm also laughing how nobody has picked up on a subtlety in the thread title.

I saw it, Funny thing when your holding the keys and sporting a massive ego, it's all to easy to put other peoples hobbies down.. Ay Fitz

Yeah cool - so what do you really know about Silat?

Well to be honest I was only introduced to it through Gareth Evans, I've done some reading but I have never actually seen it of the screen, I know it's centered around joint manipulation. Looks affective enough that's for sure, you practice?

A guy that used to play in the same rugby team as me was poised for a big career in MMA. Tyler Manawaroa is his name and he was on the Australia vs Canada Ultimate Fighter TV Show. Any of you MMA buffs happen to watch that season? I was super surprised when Tyler beat Nordine who was aparently Canadas best fighter on that season.

Dana White ruined Tylers career by claiming he was a racist, because tyler made a joke about black babies being 'prison babies'... despite the fact that Tyler himself is a maori.

Dana has a massive ego.

Every guy on that show was told before it even started to clean up their social media feeds to remove anything offensive or unprofessional. Pretty much the standard for anyone going for a career in the limelight with a multi million dollar promotion company. Tyler didn't do it and got outed by one of the guys on the show for it. That cost him his shot at that time with the UFC. Not Danas fault. Tylers fault. Plus he got beat by Elias in the second round to be eliminated from the comp anyways

History has shown that the UFC has offered many people a second chance, if they worked their way back in.

Fair call, but you would think a business as big as the UFC would have checked that on their own and deleted it before putting these guys in the limelight. It was a poor decision from both parties.

Tyler has a history of making poor decisions, so it's not all that surprising to me that he hasn't really tried to bust his way back into the UFC scene.

From that series, Jake Matthews looks like a gun from the Aussie side of things.

After all the waiting for that fight... what a let down. No matter who won it wouldve set the division up well but we have to see that fight again presumably after frankie edgar gets his shot.

Huh? If aldo one he had pretty much cleaned out the division and Mcgreggor rehydrated to 174 lbs 24 hrs after weighing in at 145... theres no way he can keep that up especially with the rule changes. Plus he is already about steping up to LW and retaining his FW belt stalling potentially 2 divisions if hes sucessfull.

Agree with the let down though. Years of hype and build up exploding in one brief exchange... youd be pissed if you bought the PPV just for that fight....
